Timing is everything.....

Lately, Sandy and I have been worrying over the timing of our adoptions due to the delay in getting our referrals. Our main concern has been "what if our referral timeline dictates we travel during tax season." For those of you who know us well, you know that with Sandy's job, that is not practical or even possible. I know we should be practicing Matthew 6:25-34 but somehow we (mostly I) get caught up in the "what ifs" and that takes my focus off of what is really important...that God is using our family to provide forever families to two precious little girls halfway around the world right now. God's timing is perfect even if it isn't the timing we would like.

Last Friday, we had a conversation with our agency about our timing concerns and were assured that if we don't receive our referrals with enough time to travel before tax season, we could request different referrals for after the first of the year like in February so that we could end up traveling after tax season. This would also allow Sandy to take some time off to spend getting to know Leah and Rachel.

Please pray that our referrals come very soon so that we don't have to wait any more to give our girls a home.
